What is NIMAST?........Northern Ireland Multidisciplinary Association for Stroke Teams


NIMAST is a Northern Ireland Charity launched in 1999 by professionals working in stroke care with the aim of providing a unified voice for professionals working in stroke care in Northern Ireland . It aims to raise the profile of stroke care among professionals, commissioners of services alongside the lay public.

NIMAST provides a source of expert opinion on stroke care for commissioners and health service planners . We provide a source of information and support for professionals working in stroke care alongside dentifying and disseminating evidence based practice in stroke care where available.


NIMAST Mission Statement

NIMASTNIMAST aims to provide a province wide forum for professionals involved in stroke care. NIMAST aims to achieve the following in relation to stroke care:

 

*Promote best practice within both voluntary and statutory agencies.

*Support service development.

*Specialized training and education.

*Influence policy makers and service commissioners.
